I changed my timing belt this weekend, along with the water pump and thermostat, on my 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.8 (107,000 miles). The care idles smooth, and runs awesome. Because of this, I find it hard to believe that I'm off a tooth. However, the car has stalled a couple times at idle when stopping at a light, and, my engine light has come on and Im getting a cam code. Does anyone know if there could be another reason for this code, or, was I off a tooth when installing the new timing belt (could the car run as good as it does if I was off a tooth??) Thanks!

Technically yes, as you can advance or retard timing significantly and still have a decent running engine, depending where on the power curve you are. It could also lope or run terrible too, elsewhere on that power curve. You'll have to investigate timing marks to know for certain.
