Flattened radiator hoses?

Asked by Emmett Jan 17, 2017 at 05:54 PM about the 1982 Chevrolet El Camino RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The radiator cap is another thing I replaced early on.They did not carry the
regular factory cap only the ones with the pressure release leaver.16lb.
Could it be defective?I guess I should get the pressurizing tool and find
out. They lend them out at the parts store.

Yes really good idea and the cap should be fine..

You need a radiator cap that will allow coolant to be drawn back into the engine from the reservoir. It sounds like you have the wrong cap.

In case there is any confusion ---- https://jimdinner.wordpress.com/2012/07/09/radiator-caps-explained/
