Worn motor mounts can cause this as they allow greater movement in the engine. But more likely, it's an engine that is in dire need of service. Out of tune engines just shake. Spark problems including timing, out of adjustment fuel intake, and leaking vacuum lines cause rough running. It could also be a worn timing belt or one that has slipped. Take the car to a mechanic. He'll tell you what it needs and then you'll be running smooth again.
