1996 bmw wont start

i own a 1996 bmw 328is and the other day it was acting up its would try and start but
wouldent and when it would it would die out like it was running out of gas all of a
sudden eventually it would start and drive fine but as soon as i turned the key off it
would take about four to 10 trys to get it to start again and it would run like it had no
fuel but its got a new fuel pump that provide fuel to the car it has a full tank of gas im
stumped it wont ever start when you spray starter fluid into it please help !

so i took the car apart and its getting fuel spark everything could it be a cam shaft position sensor
