2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee not starting

(Not a native english speaker btw) While driving, suddenly the engine started
to rev but wasn't going any faster, the engine turned off so i parked wherever
i could. Then tried to start the car but it just cranked, i tried so many times
that the battery died. Had to call a tow truck. The mechanic charged the
battery, the car just started in a completely normal way, but we found the
radiator had a crack, the mechanic told me that maybe some sensor didn't
let me start the car because of this problem, then fixed it. Then it happened
again, but this time everything was alright, even the battery (i didn't try to call
a mechanic yet).
