I have a1987 Chevy caprice with a 1998 350 vorte. When I start it up I hear a ticking noise sound like a electric ticking. Is my distributor bad or what is my issue. Where would be the best place to.

hard to say...start it up in the dark.and look for a spark maybe...really!
