Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tape player makes 4 clicks, and stops on play.  No movement.
Other buttons do nothing.

Not worth fixing it. Time to move to an aftermarket unit so you can stream your music vs relying on old tapes. Check out Crutchfield. Probably $100.

As TDolby said it would cost more to fix it than to replace it. But if your goal is to keep the vehicle original try searching for a radio repair shop. Remove the radio from the vehicle and take it to the shop for repairs. The tape deck probably just needs a good cleaning and new belts. Hope that helps! Jim
