What’s the issue with my car?

Asked by Jesse Oct 06, 2020 at 12:56 PM about the 2003 Ford Focus LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,

I’m no car expert whatsoever and need some help.
I’m not 100% sure on the trim of the car, just that
it’s a 4 door 2003 Ford Focus.

My car won’t turn on when I put the key in the
ignition and turn. Additionally, I’m no longer able to
lock the doors of the car electronically via the
buttons on the driver side of the car. I can still
manually lock the doors. Lastly, I had to get the car
jumped to get it start and bring it home after work.
The radio wouldn’t turn off when I got it home. Even
when the car was turned off and the driver side
door was open, the radio kept going. It eventually
turned off, just not when it was supposed to.

What’s the issue with my Ford Focus? Is the battery
dead or could it be a variety of issues? Anything
helps! Thank you :)

Note: it’s actually a 2003 Ford Focus ZTS. I just wanted to mention that in case it matters.
