Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a new battery and alternator for my 03 Ford
focus just a year ago and when I started it the
other day to drive it, and it moved a few inches and
started to sputter and died now when I try jumping
it will try to start but won't start or it starts but
when I take it off the jump pack it just shuts off
and i don't know what's could be causing it to do
that

Check your battery terminals, make sure they arent all gunned up, make sure they are snug and don't move when they are tightened. If that isnt your problem I would trace the wires and make sure they are not frayed or bare anywhere and that the places they are connected to are clean and free of rust, a little piece of sandpaper or a wire brush can clean it sufficiently. If that still isn't your problem I would make sure your altinator plug is in all the way. Hope this helps.
