Brake Caliper for 1992 Dodge Dakota

This is what I purchased.

You bought just the wheel cylinder. You need the entire caliper assembly. This is a safety issue, don't try to use messed up brake parts.

Try to get a complete caliper assembly, with bracket ,if you can find a new one ,they do sell them on most calipers, or try a junk yard ,or you could drill it out and hely coil it ,i believe the bolt size is 9mm not positive, those slide bolts strip out easy if you dont hand catch a few threads first ,the slide bolts threads are fine . If its not going in easy dont force you will strip it out for sure ,good luck hope this helps you

Calipers are not sold with the brackets. A good mechanic or machine shop can fix that or as suggested above look at a salvage yard.

not sold with Brackets ? Just did one a week ago not this poticuler veh ,it came with brackets ,and to get my core back it had to be returned with bracket, they do sell some ,ask the people you purchased the caliper from and see if they offer it ,worth a shot ,some part stores carry a repair kit to recoil the stiped out hole ,if you decide to go this way then i would recommend bringing the slide bolts with you so they no what you will need for a repair kit ,the kits are feely cheap ,other options machine shop ,junk yard ,although machine shop might cost a bit iam thinking ,good luck with your veh hope you get it up and running .scott

Thank you to everyone who helped with this. I just wamted to give an update....NO ONE sells a new caliper bracket nor do they sell the caliper with a bracket. I had to buy a complete from an online junkyard. The caliper they sold was terrible, but the bracket worked on the new caliper.
