PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF LIGHT

If you have something sitting on the front passenger's seat, remove it. There's a weight sensor in the seat that will disable the passenger's side airbag if the computer thinks a child or carseat is on the seat. When I take my coin box to the bank and sit it on the front seat of my 08 Grand Marquis (same car) the light comes on because of the weight of the coin box. If that's not the case have your local Ford Dealer check it out. Hope that helps! Jim

Thanks for the explanation of how the light works, but the light has gotten pushed back and I need to get it reseated on the Dashboard.

You're welcome. To access the bulb the trim piece above the glove box just pops off. You can use a flat blade screwdriver to get it off. Then when you're done just snap it back in place. Jim
