2011 Dodge Nitro ~ heat turns cold

Asked by Guru97HB9V Feb 22, 2023 at 10:53 AM about the 2011 Dodge Nitro SE 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Dodge Nitro 3.7, last year I had the radiator, heater core and
thermostat replaced. Recently I have the heat turn to cold after a 30 minute
drive on the highway. It is not overheating, it just starts blowing cold air. Coolant
levels are to the lines.

Check the coolant level, when it gets low the heater is the first thing to stop sending heat. if the level shows full then you have an air pocket in the heater core. then next I would be concerned about a blown headgasket.
