what size tires can I put on my 88 SR5, it has 33x12.5x15's on it now and I would like to put something on thats a little lower profile

Check online for tire size comparison sites, there are lots of them I've used them a few times myself. Some tire makers vary a bit but for the most part they are pretty close. As far as the profile of your tire, if you want to keep the width it will be a bit of a guessing game to find what you want.
