After I turn my Nissan 300 zx off something continues to run causing a dead battery... What could this be?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

had the same thing happen to me years ago. My 86 300ZX turbo kept on needing a new battery almost every other year along with the alternator. They kept on saying it was a parasitic drain, but couldn't locate where. I finally decided that I would turn everything off when I shut the car off, including the radio. I think that's what it was. My batteries have lasted the normal amount of time.
