towing a trailer
i have a 2013 Tacoma, model code GRN265L-PRADKA 2WD I want to purchase a food truck with total wght with cargo is approx. 8500. what can I add to the tow package to be able to tow this much weight.
the Tacoma is not rated to pull that much of a load. it will be too much for the suspension and the brakes to handle, even with upgraded springs on the truck and an electric brake controller to control the trailer brakes. even on the 4.0 v6 model, the transmission can't handle it. you need a bigger truck for that much trailer. there is not a way to do it safely and not tear up your truck. sorry.
thank you for your help
Your best bet would be to trade for a Tundra. No way to increase the tow rating that much.
