2013 Jetta makes grinding noise when I turn at lower speeds/into acceleration

This started happening recently and I made an appt w/ my local vw dealership
for next week. It makes the noise when I'm driving at low speeds and turning
my engine also sounds loud as well when this happens. It's louder when it's
cold out but when it's warm outside it's less noticeable or doesn't happen at
all.

Ironically in October I was involved in a side collision and my insurance
company fixed the damage but I'm wondering if this is accident related and
the insurance co. dropped the ball? None the less, I'm curious as to what the
damage price wise may end up costing me?
