Auction car no key engine test run 2013 Ford Focus

Asked by Redriggler Feb 25, 2020 at 12:28 PM about the 2013 Ford Focus Titanium

Question type: General

I’m gonna find a way to test run this
engine...the car is for parts only...how do I
bypass the P.A.T.S. System on a 2013 Ford
Focus. I only want to verify that the engine
runs. Do I Hotwire the coils and feed fuel into
the fuel rail, and tap a screwdriver on the
crank angle sensor? I’m just kidding! Anybody
got any ideas? Remember, I have no keys...

The dealer can cut a key from the vin # , $$ <, they may want proof of owner ship ( I would ) , you can't hot wire it without the transponder chip that's in the key the computer won't let it start , since 1995
