Why causes my right rear tire of my Ford Focus to lock up?

You may have a bad caliper, brake line, or the ebrake is hanging up. If it seems fine at first then sticks as you drive then it's likely to be the caliper or brake line. You can test it, by pumping up the brake, then letting off. Next crack open the bleeder valve. If brake fluid shoots out, you have a bad brake line (most likely the brake hose). If fluid trickles out, yet wheel remains locked up, then you have a bad caliper. If you do replace a caliper take the opportunity to replace the hose too.
