Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I was wondering the price and what I should put
into my truck. I have 3in body and 3in suspension
Lift sitting on 33in mickey thompsons and my
motor is alright but not strong enough for me as it
is hard to get it over 70 mph without it going into
Over Drive. What's the biggest motor i can put into
it and how much would it be?

Now you are talking money if you want a fresh motor. Your gonna have at least $5000 into something you want. Also the truck would need the ECU & wiring harness to run a different motor.

Also Dodge tranys are junk. You would need someone who knows tranys to build or find something that would last. So your looking at another $3000

I wanted to drop a 5.7 hemi in it but Im afraid it won't fit what are your opinions on what kind of motor i should put in ?

I'm not a Dodge fan, and I only know how things work. But I know it will fit in but you would need the trany, ECU & wiring harness to run it. I know that wouldn't be a problem.

I'm just looking for more power I'm more of a Ford fan but I've already put well over 5 grand into this truck and figured I'd make it more powerful and I heard if you put certain friction plates into it it'll make the trans. Last a lot longer

Yes you can beef up the trany, but a change over like you are wanting to do, you have to look at all the electrical that makes the motor and trany work. I would suggest talking to a good trany guy, shop, to see if he could adapt your existing trany to be able to work with what you want to put in the truck.

I have a 95' Chevy truck that I have about $9500 into a motor and trans. Like $7500 of it is in the motor. For what you are looking for, and how you have your truck set-up, it is not cheap to get it right.
