2000 dodge stratus 2.5L is having intermittent starting issues

Asked by Carias Aug 15, 2014 at 09:03 PM about the 2000 Dodge Stratus SE Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My girlfriend's stratus is having
random starting issues. We've had
the battery, alternator and starter
tested. All check out fine. 95% of the
time it starts right up, no problem.
Once a week or less it sounds like
the battery is dying or almost dead.
Everything has full power, but it fails
to start for a minute or two. Then
without doing anything it catches
and starts right up. I've done a little
reading but haven't found a clear
place to start trouble shooting. Any
suggestions would help. Thanks

If your battery is good,i think you may need to check that starter,as you say it happen,s to rarely to be the battery, but the starter could be getting weak, and in time may fell.
