why would oil come out around the oil pressure sensor

Asked by LOLE Mar 02, 2020 at 07:04 PM about the 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis GS Sedan RWD

Why would oil come out I'm guessing the oil pressure sensor down by oil pan
and oil filter. And all I did was replace the water pump. I had no prob!em with
the oil before. Nothing's been changed all original parts.
