Subaru Outback 2013 Multiple Error Codes

Asked by Guru13WVL Oct 01, 2019 at 01:26 PM about the 2013 Subaru Outback 2.5i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drove through a deep puddle down here in Florida, the next day I had the
check engine light came on (along with flashing Cruise control and BRAKE
light). Maybe that's just a coincidence, maybe not. I took it to the dealership
and no error codes were stored in it, so they reset it. Later that day the lights
came back on. I had it run again and the following codes are stored: P1449
(EVAP  clog), C0057 (No CAN signal from ECM), C0042 (DCCM& H/U
power supply voltage error ABS does not operate. EBD may not operate.
VDC does not operate) and C0045 (Different control module specification
ABS does not operate. VDC does not operate).

Does anyone have any idea what this means or where I should start?
Replacing the EVAP parts would run me $1600 and I'm just not sure if that is
the fix here. Thanks in advance!

Try to dry the car out. If you can, garage it, put fans on the car and leave the hood open. Use a dehumidifier if you have one or leave the doors and windows open. After a few days your car might start to work correctly.
