It is called Eco Assist or Ecological Drive Assist System. It is Honda's way of providing feedback directly to a driver on whether they are driving efficiently or not. Smooth accelerating and decelerating obviously saves gas and the arc glows green. More aggressive driving burns more gas and the green fades to another color (usually blue or white).

I like the blue light better and it's making me want to accelerate more so that my dashboard is consistently blue. How do I turn the light changing off, or is it not possible?
