2001 Dodge Dakota sport 2.5L won't engage starter

Having issues with trying to turn a key in the
ignition all lights on the dash come on and a ding
noise will occur but when you try to turn it over it
doesn't click nor does anything happen with the
starter

If there's no click, most likely the starter relay. Could also be the ignition switch.
