Charging battery

Asked by joeyodom2017 May 20, 2019 at 06:10 PM about the 2013 GMC Acadia SLT-1 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I charge the battery in my 2013 GMC
Acadia from the “jump start” posts under the
hood? If not, is it safe to charge with the
battery still in the compartment inside the car,
or do I need to remove the battery and
charge it? Thanks!

It is perfectly safe to use the posts under the hood. That is the recommended way. The battery remains in the vehicle and is only removed if it will no longer hold a charge.
