How can tell correctly what's popping in my frontend

You'll have to jack the car up and move the suspension to around to see what is loose or worn. There are a couple articles online on how to do it properly. youtube has a few videos too.

Joshuah... IMHO, I would recommend taking it into a shop if you are hearing popping noises in the front end and you are not that experienced with front ends. It could be something on the verge of breaking and possibly putting you in a very compromising situation like an accident or damage to you and/or your truck.
