I changed the battery and now the alarm wont go off (Camry LE 2012)

My alternator died, I replaced it, and used a fully functional, albeit different battery to start my car, the car starts normally, but the alarm wont go off, also cant shut it down using the fob

Messed up the BCM cause you didn’t use the saver tool that plugs into the OBD2 port before disconnecting main power supply. Now the dealer will have to flash the systems to get things back to normal.

You should have plugged in a memory saver device to the vehicle before you disconnected the battery. Now you have to be towed to your local Toyota Dealer to have the computers flashed (reprogrammed). Jim
