Temperature switch broke in the front of the block next to the valve cover I
replaced it the one I got at the parts store is probably a quarter of an inch longer
same plug though now the coolant light won't go out in the truck won't run
farther in a quarter of a mile without shutting itself off can anybody help me out
here

No but I backed it out with it running to see if the light would go out I didn't make a difference so I don't think washers are going to change it but I'll try I rebuild my carburetor. The little thing running has been sitting for like a year and a half got the carburetor all tuned in drove it about 30 miles it ran great then I ran a manual choke cable because the air conditioning has been eliminated on it and it starts hard well when I was running the choke cable leaned over on the motor that's when I broke the temperature switch and I've had nothing but trouble since then

Sounds like it is sending bad signals to ur computer have u tried onechanging the sensor for the exact

I'm going to have to go back to the parts store and see if I can get the exact one but at AutoZone that's what their computer called for for that truck
