I have a 2012 chalenger RT it dusent say I should run high octain gas ! my question is can it do damage to the cat converter or other things if I do?
Nope, not at all. In fact premium (high octane) burns hotter and cleaner than regular. I drove my '93 Chevy Caprice from 1993 until 2012 and only put premium in it. The owner's manual specified regular but I still used premium. I never had a fuel system problem and the factory spark plugs lasted 90,000 miles. In the long run I think it's better to run premium. I currently only put premium in my '08 Mercury Grand Marquis as well. The owner's manual for that car says regular too. HTH. -Jim
