White smoke at start up

So I'm curious if anyone would know what is
happening with my car. There is thick white smoke
at start up. Before I go to school cloud of white
smoke that lingers. Get out of school start it up
white smoke. It used to smoke occasionally and
when it did I would try driving and I'd lose power,
car would jerk, and check engine light would come
on. After driving it for a bit all problems would go
away. We replaced the pcv valve the car no longer
continuously smokes or loses power. It just smokes
every time I start it up drives normal, oil is good, car
doesn't over heat everything else seems perfectly
normal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
