2012 Ford Escape - AWD?? and click/rattle noise
Bought a brand new 2012 (had it 5 months, now has 5700 miles) ford escape. They said it was AWD but there are not markings on the vehicle (like the previous years) that it is AWD.They assure me it is the on-demand 4wd; how can i confirm?
Also, when I accelerate from a stop there is a click sound (not like a mechanical or circuit click but like something is loose) when i start to move. it also happens when stopping (when the movement of the car shifts from front to back or back to front). The first time I took it in they said "oh that's normal" but i test drove another 2012 ford escape and it DIDN'T happen, nor did it happen on a rental ford escape I drove for work. I'm really frustrated because every person who gets in my car hears it and asks about it. Has anyone had this issue?
look under car to see if it has a drive shaft going to the front two wheel and one going to the back to wheels if so its awd if it only has one drive shaft then its a 2wd car if it has two driveshafts then its awd
also if its new it should have a warranty you have to keep on them to fix your car i did the same thing with another car co. i had to keep getting on them to fix it eventually they fixed it.. dont let those guys jerk you around they rather u keep the car rather then theenm fixing it because the parts or service manager has to pay for those parts cause its under warranty the lees they buy n parts the more monies they make i know this cause i know someone who works for lexus and chevy buy the way i bought 1992 lexus es 250.. and i have a 2004 lexus rx330 theese cars never have problems. never fpr sale in local papers or auto books i love theese cars so much i just went and bought 0 2013 rx f sport the greates cars i ever owned never had problems the rx is awd all the time my wife loves that car and i mean loves it i highly recommend it to any one i also have a 1979 toyota celica gt with over 1 million miles on it and runs like a dream american cars are only made to last 5 -7 years and yhey want u 2 constantly have a carpayment and trade it it in on a new 1.. road track and car driver rate the escape as last on there list. just to let you know you get what you pay 4
My window won't go up... And I'm hearing clicking noise as I turn my wheel..
