2012 Acadia....differences between SLE1 and SLE2?

Asked by atyarr Dec 29, 2019 at 05:47 PM about the 2012 GMC Acadia SLE-1 AWD

Question type: General

I recently purchased a used 12 acadia from a used dealer, who sold me the vehicle as an SLE, with no mention of it being an SLE1orSLE2.  Now, I've gotten the drift from other forums/posts that using an online vin decoder is the way to tell definitively what model you have, but I'm disabled and hard pressed to get out to the thing to write down the vin, nor do I literally have any idea where my loving wife put the paperwork from the dealer that should have the vin on it.  So, my question is what identifies an sle2 vs sle1(feautures, upholstery, etc.)? Is it even possible to spot the submodel by the features? I've posted a question about this on a couple of other forums and haven't had that silver-bullet response from someone in the know, so my apologies for duplication, if you're seeing this issue again, but I would really like to know what we have.  Thanks much in advance for any insight/help you can offer! AFA feautures, it has pw,pl,abs, stabilitrak tc, roof rack, backup cam, amfm w/cd, no dvd

Sle 1 has FIVE seats in the back ( two benches) and the sle 2 has FOUR seats in the back, two in the second and two in the rear. The second row has a middle pass through like a mini van. This was the most obvious difference between the two models. I think the sle 2 had some basic upgrades like the power lift gate too. But if you look in your back seat you'll definitely be able to tell which one you have. Good luck i have the sle2 and I love it
