Motor oil accidentally put in with Automatic Transmission fluid

I accidentally put a quart of motor oil in where the
automatic transmission fluid goes on my 2006 330
ci BMW

Don't start the engine! Have it towed to a shop where they can drain all the fluid. I would probably do a drain and fill twice or a flush to get all the oil out.

The good thing is you didn't add oil to the transmission, you added it to the power steering reservoir. BMW uses ATF for the power steering and says ATF on the cap. The transmission fluid is only added to the transmission from below on the pan. Get a small hand pump to remove the fluid and add more ATF, aka Dexron.

Hopefully Dolby is correct but the person asking the question did not say how they added the engine oil. Maybe they did actually add engine oil to the transmission.
