I believe poor fuel quality could trigger such a warning but I am not a BMW expert.

This is a typical malfunction if your battery is low, Charge the battery or have it replaced. the message will likely go away and all will be well in the world. -BMW fanatic and knowledge expert

It's not the battery but a sensor need to be replaced when you have this msg shows on your screen "Drive moderately. Maximum drivetrain output not available."

I was told it was a some sensor problem but after bringing in my 750i to the BMW dealer, they found out few of the spark plugs Coils are bad, so they replaced all of them and since then it's running great. The cheapest way to find out which coils are bad, is to find a local AutoZone parts store and tel them you have a check engine light and they check it for free. Good luck!

Just had that problem. It needed charged. When I’m in traffic the car doesn’t charge. It’s needs to be ran. I leave the lights off and shut the radio off manually when I park it. Obviously doesn’t charge itself at an idoll.
