Bought Caliber 2 months ago. -231,000 miles. -Had a code U1412 when i bought it but drove fine. Last month went out of town, on my way home, he started going slow. Pulled over for 5 minutes car was good. -Last Thursday car was fine. Woke up next morning & car cranked but didn't start. When cranking car battery started dying. -Jumped car off crank no start still -Things already done: -Replaced fuel pump 2 days ago -Recent oil change & air filter 2 weeks ago -Front Brakes Replaced

That's what happens when you buy a car with that many miles on it without having a mechanic check it out prior to purchase. You should have had the seller fix the coded defect before you too it. Now, failure to start could be any of a hundred things that have gone wrong. It isn't likely that it's a speed sensor thing. It's something else you didn't catch. I hope you got this POS free.

This needs to be diagnosed by a reputable repair shop. By reputable I mean not a chain type or corner gas station type of shop. It looks like a transmission code which will get expensive very fast! Jim
