Subaru Outback sudden acceleration
My 2011 Subaru Outback has been lately having sudden short burst of
acceleration during normal driving. It is accompanied by a squeaking sound
also. Not operating brake pedal during such acceleration.
153K. Regular maintenance as per factory advice.
There is a class action lawsuit filed in May 2020 for sudden acceleration in
Subaru outback of 2015 to 2019 model even though incidence are reported
from 2011 model.
Does anyone had similar issue and what is the probable fix if not same as the
class action lawsuit.
The occurrence rate of any such failures is small enough that I have NOT heard of any such issues with the several hundred 2013-2018 OBs/Legs I've sold. That's not to say that a much smaller than 1% failure rate isn't a safety concern. Anyone know the stats herein?
