Multiple bad door lock actuators

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just purchased 2011 Subaru Outback. Turns out it has 3 bad door lock
actuators. Could there be other issues causing failure?

THREE? That's pretty unlikely. I'd swap in a used passenger master switch before digging three doors apart. I've never seen a defective actuator nor motor; problems are always with the door switches, as their actuator rods slip off once in awhile.

One door worked with both the driver master switch and both key fobs; other doors did not. I replaced one actuator assembly and that door now works as well from both switch and fobs. The actuator rods were connected securely when I opened up the door panel. All electrical connectors inside door were connected securely as well.

I forgot to mention that the door that worked originally was the right rear, not the driver's door. All locks worked when activated manually at each door.

Subaru dealer checked everything they could think of. Ended up replacing other actuators.
