Problem with kick down

Asked by Jan 03, 2016 at 07:54 AM about the 2007 BMW 3 Series 328i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi ive got a 57 plate bmw e90 2 litre petrol auto.
Receny tge kick down has been very slow to
respond. At first when i got tge car in october 2015
the kickdown responded when the rev counter was
aroubd 2000rpm but now it goes all the way to 4/
5000rpm. Some one suggested that it could be my
gear oil level but I just wanted to know if anyone
has experienced this problem and how I can get it
sorted.

The idle in the year BMW you have is electronically controlled. Sounds like you might have multiple issues. Could be a vacuum leak or other condition. IS the check engine light on? When was the last time you had the car in the shop for repair?

The check engine light is not on and I recently got it serviced in october when I bought it.
