I have a 2011 chevy cruze. Earlier I wnet to start the car, and immediately after it came on, there was a loud tapping knowing coming from under the hood. There are no service indicator lights on and I have no idea where to start in trying to figure this out. Normally i'd take the car to the dealership when I have issues but they are closed already. I need help!!

check your oil level, that 17 percent has nothing to do with the level.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED TO GET IT TO A RAPAIR SHOP/DEALERSHIP TO SEE WHY ITS MAKING THAT NOISE. DID the quart bring it to the proper oil level??

your car moniters your driving, such as distance, idle time and temps. It then uses that data to tell you when the optimum time to change your oil, My opinion is that these moniters are way too long between oil changes and you should change your oil every 5,000km if you don't use synthetic oil.
