Car will only start with a jump

Asked by Gksipps Oct 25, 2019 at 04:00 PM about the 2011 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car was dead. Jumped it and drove it home.
Bought new alternator and installed. Left the car
running all day . Drove back to work and turned the
car off. Will not start back up.

Take it to ur local auto parts store and they will check the charging system and starter for you free of charge but first check battery cables for corrosion and make sure they're tight. This is a very common issue.

Make sure battery has a full charge. If battery is very far down, don't use generator to charge battery. Use a battery charger. I agree with other person about battery connections.
