2011 Kia Sorento door latch broken over night.....after I locked doors....does anyone else have this problem?

Asked by Anna Jul 08, 2016 at 02:54 PM about the 2011 Kia Sorento EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About a year ago my back driver side passengers
door quit working inside & outside. I brought it into
Kia dealership they tore the panel off & unlocked
the door not too long after it locked again. They told
me $300 to fix it. I just haven't had an extra $400 to
fix it & the closes Kia dealership is 120miles away.
It's been the worst bcuz having 4 doors & only 3
working is such a pain in my ass. Not to mention I
have a 3yr old & 6yr old. What do I do in an
emergency situation.....this most definitely it
manufactures problem & Kia should step up to it
also. My baby locked in the heat, fire, freezing cold
weather, and accident I couldn't get to him without
crawling over my own seat. What a scary feeling....I
just hate my car everyday. Then my power window
on my passenger rear door just went out, the
middle seat belt quit working, my stereo goes in
and out....I have been out of my Warrenty over a
year now. It's so frustrating....and Just yesterday
my passenger door quit working after locking the
car up for the night. I wish they would recall the
door latch problems that is all I want.

JUST FYI: don't ever waste your money for a Kia
they do not stand by you or help you. The cheapest
car I will never purchase again & I won't be afraid to
say....I HATE MY KIA SORENTO MORE & more
every year.

Not very helpful when your warranty expires, and you expect quality. But, Hey we purchased a lower end cheaper model ... that in my opinion is a waste of money. I spent 27K .. you'd expect better.. should have purchased a Toyota or honda
