2011 Kia Sorento Display screen

Asked by DFrisco66 Nov 23, 2019 at 10:03 PM about the 2011 Kia Sorento EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 2011 Kia Sorento that up until recently the backup camera and
display screen worked just fine. In the past month the screen has gone very
faint, like the colors are faded, and when in reverse the camera still works
but the image is washed out, almost white, and you really can't use it to back
up, even at night, it's nearly washed out white, you can still make out the
green/yellow/red guidance lines and the sensor still works but the image
appears to be failing. The fuse was checked and it was good. Any ideas?

Have just had the EXACT same thing happen on my 2011 Kia Sorento as of yesterday. First and only Kia that I have ever owned and I really do like Kia.....until these past 6-7 months. Little by little, "standard" features are beginning to completely stop/fail

I have exactly the same problem. The answer seems to be replace the unit. However, on the display is now working, the rest of the unit works fine (except Bluetooth, which often does not auto connect to my phone. Can I replace the screen only?
