I have to replace the heater sensor located on the firewall that has two hoses attached do I have to drain the coolant first and can I get to the longer hose to release it from the heater core?

Asked by hillhx1 Feb 28, 2016 at 02:14 PM about the 2010 Nissan Titan SE King Cab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I cut the hoses and install them to the new part with new clamps? using
the old hoses that are difficult to reach way down in the engine compartment.

Nissan did not know the correct parts needed to fix this problem but U-tube
did.

Ya, but make sure the hoses would be long enough to re-attach to the new part. Just pinch the hoses off so they are not leaking coolant when you do this, you will loose some.
