Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The fan has kept running on a couple of occasions but has cut off after a period of time. As mentioned, this time it did not cut off and killed the battery. I jumped the car off no problem and drove it for about 5 miles. When I cut the car off again the fan kept running until I removed the Hign fan radiator fuse. The Low fan radiator fuse was not removed.

The engine cooling fan will continue to run to cool off the engine after the ignition is shut off and this is normal. If the fan thermostat switch is defective it might not shut the fan off.
