Hi I have a 2010 chevy suburban 4x4 5.3 v8.
My question is when I go from any stop and when it shifts into 4 gear it makes
a high sound and then it slips into the 4 gear Can anyone tell me whats wrong
and how to correct it????????? Thank you......
Automatic? Sounds like the overdrive band is worn/burnt. That always means replacement, which means tearing into the transmission, meaning a rebuild. $$$$. Visit a reputable trans shop or mechanic to get a good quality job. A used replacement is always and option too if my diagnosis/guess is correct.
Got enough transmission fluid? Check that first. Also check for any lose wires. The computer may not be getting a proper signal and not allowing the transmission to shift into OD. I do hate to say it, but I agree with Tom. He's the man.
