2010 suburban won't start

Asked by Cody Jun 23, 2016 at 06:14 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LS RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can not get my suburban to start. Now i dont
really know jack about motors, but i have replaced
the battery and it now has a brand new starter and
i still get nothing out of it. When i turn the key i get
all of my electronics inside but i just get a click out
of my starter. I have a cheap code reader and all it
says is COMMUNICATION BUS OFF and i have no
idea as to what that means. So if there is anyone
out there that could give me a hand it would be
greatly appreciated cause im at whits end.

If ur battery is fully charged and u have a new starter, check battery cables for looseness or corrosion specially the one going to the starter

CAN-BUS issue low speed line "K" has a module that's not communicating or the PCM has an issue relax this isn't hard to handle locate a better scan re check the DTC codes confirm CAN-BUS communications its just a simple computer network.

I got her up and running today. Put brand new negative terminal on and it fired right up... thank you everyone for your help and input.
