I have a 2010 Nissan Sentra and my a/c has been out for 2 years now. It will blow out air but it's only hot air. I put freon in it and it still didn't work.
I took it to have it looked at a week
later and they told me that I didn't
have enough freon to test it. My
question is this 1. If that's the truth I
have a leak so does the a/c pro
super seal really work for that. And 2.
Will that mess up my car by using it?
I just don't want to create a bigger
If you are low on freon then yes you have a leak. I would suggest NOT using an a/c sealer. Think about it, if you put a sealer, made to seal things up, in a system, how well can the flow thru be afterwards. An a/c sealer may temporarily fix your problem but it will cause further problems when you want to actually fix it right. My suggestion is to take the vehicle to your mechanic, or any reputable shop that you feel comfortable with. Have them perform an a/c service with dye to check for the leak. Once the leak is found simply have the line, compressor, etc repaired or replaced and you're good to go. Make sure the a/c lines are flushed out after the repair.
