why would the message state 3 keys programmed when I only have 2

I've had my car for 8+years and now my message states 3 keys programmed????

I just had the same message after having my car for five years. No clue why.

I'm having same problem but yo car won't start. I did change battery in remote. And car battery is 1.5 years old.

Any ideas guys?

Your buick has 3 key fobs the 3rd key is a valet key that the dealership keeps until you pay it off!
