Replacing brakes on a 2010 Camaro 2SS; Are OEM worth the extra $250 vs dealer grade?

Asked by Guru1K375 Sep 29, 2019 at 10:03 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replacing brakes on 2010 Camaro 2SS
OEM front and rear $440
Dealer Grade front and rear $200
Are OEMs worth the price?

I looked at Power Stop and other brake kits, but I am concerned a new brake package will contrast with my well worn wheels (especially the calipers) and my wallet does not allow for the type of new wheel this car requires. That is why I am leaning to the dealer grade pads. Braking performance is supposed to be the same, just get more dust from the semi-metallic. Your thoughts appreciated. Already have Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires; look great.
