Honda Accord AC issues

Asked by Jul 30, 2016 at 12:01 PM about the 2009 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi!

I have an '09 Honda Accord with 130k miles on it
roughly. Just recently the AC started acting up in it.
The AC will be acting fine blowing cool air and then
randomly while driving, the air flow will drop
dramatically. The AC unit is still blowing cool air and
is making noise like it's working really hard, but
barely any cool air will come out. It's been really hot
out lately so not having AC sometimes has been a
pain.

Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

At this mileage, it's possible that your compressor is on its last legs...if you replace the compressor, also get a new condenser and have the freon change.. Also, this is a good time to look at the cooling system, all belts. I imagine that you have the Four and not the V6???

My old 1995 Honda Accord went 145,000 miles before I so!d it,.
